About HR-Lead

Herb Callahan is Globally certified Human Resources executive. After spending 21 years in the United States Marine Corps training and developing members of the United States Armed Forces and members of foreign military forces, as well as serving two tours of combat, he retired from the Marine Corps and successfully transitioned into the “civilian” Human Resources profession. Herb has worked with numerous Southern California based, domestic and international logistics companies. He has overseen the Human Resources for organizations ranging from 200 employees to more than 5000 employees in both union and non-union environments. He has run corporate universities at multiple organizations and currently serves as an adjunct professor for human resources at two Southern California Universities.

Originally from Lynn, Massachusetts, Herb currently lives in Alhambra, California with his wife and three children. He holds an MBA with a focus on human resources and Doctorate of Education focused on Organizational leadership both from Brandman University. Herb sits on numerous Human Resources and academic advisory boards and serves as a mentor to Human Resource students.
